LOCK UP STAGE INSPECTION
What we inspect at lockup stage are according to the Australian Standards ( AS 3700-2001 Masonry structures,AS2050-2002 Installation of roof tiles), the Building Code of Australia (BCA), VBA guide to standards and tolerances 2015 and the relevant engineer’s drawings and specifications.
We use a comprehensive inspection checklist including but not limited to the following:

Any alterations made to the framing structure members during the services rough in works or installation of scaffold to be rectified

All different types of external wall cladding and lining like hebel panels, cement sheet panels and timber weatherboards have been correctly installed
-
All brickwork to ensure that it is level, plumb, straight, square and mortar strength is satisfied
-
All articulation joints, flashings and weep holes have been correctly placed and installed
-
All brickwork does not overhang the slab edge by more than 15mm
-
Fire separation walls where required complete to Standards and manufacturer specifications
-
All different types of roofing materials like concrete roof tiles, color bond steel sheets (sarking required) have been correctly installed and fixed in position
-
All fascia boards, bargeboards and gutters are correctly installed
-
There is adequate fall applied to the gutters to make sure no retention a depth of more than 10 mm of water
-
All roof penetrations have been flashed properly and no leaking
-
There is no damage to window frames, door frames, door handles or locks and the glass fitted to doors and windows has not been scratched, chipped or cracked
